Cedar batten panel works were the highlight of our design and installation work at a school in Reading, Berkshire.
This versatile product adds a stylish feature to a range of purposes in commercial carpentry services.
Cedar battens are lightweight and durable making them a must have product for carpentry design work.
The clean lines they generate add a touch of style to buildings being built or refurbished and as cedar is a resilient wood, it will not warp in adverse conditions.
RP Carpentry supplied a team of seven skilled carpenters to work on the £400,000 project at Civitas Academy.
They worked on installing some of the roof structures and fitted composite decking across the site.
Our company provided all the doors and ironmongery for the school to help transform its appearance during a major refurbishment.
We also supplied and fitted the window boards and skirting throughout, alongside the installation of the cedar batten panels.
The toilet cubicles that needed replacing were overhauled by our professional, skilled carpenters to supply a much improved bathroom area for the pupils who are aged between four and 11.
RP Carpentry MD Roger O’Gorman said: ‘Cedar batten panels are an attractive modern style item.
‘Batten panels offer a contemporary feature to traditional carpentry projects and we were delighted to be able to share this design technique at the school.
‘Fortunately, everyone connected with the school thoroughly approves of the finished product – the panels look perfect and make an eye-catching feature.
‘As ever with our commercial carpentry services, we liaised carefully with the client to ensure we fully understood the brief and were able to provide our usual high standards of excellent customer service.
‘Our reputation for excellent commercial carpentry meant we won this school contract and we would be delighted to partner with other companies as sub-contractors as well as providing high quality independent services to private clients.’
